SHOW NOTES:

Being faithful in the little is a daily reminder we all need from time to time. When we are doing the same things day in and day out, we may ask ourselves: “Does what I do even matter?” The answer to that is, yes–what you do matters! You matter and what you’re called to do matters. Although what you’re doing may seem insignificant or mundane, as you do the “small” things faithfully, you’re taking ground and making progress little by little. Slow progress is better than no progress at all!

As you’re faithful in what God has called you to do now, you can be sure you will yield a fruitful harvest. Consistency in the little things is key. Know that each of our callings is holy, ordained, and valuable to the purposes of God. Our callings are not according to our plan, but God’s plan for our lives. When God saved you, He gave you a holy calling, one that is special and uniquely crafted for you! If He’s called you to it, there’s a purpose and a plan for it.

Oftentimes God will call you to a small assignment, but if you don’t grow weary in well doing, keep your hand to the plow and be diligent—becoming so faithful to the little things and where He’s planted you right now—He will grow your assignment and increase you in all areas of life. It’s not about being great, it’s about being obedient. Faithfulness yields fruitfulness.

When you start doing the little things like they’re big things, God will make the big things happen to you like they are little things. So, don’t compare or belittle your holy calling–value it, adhere yourself to it, and thank God for it, every single day!
